Just completed the application for 3 brand new amateur radio licences of course from 3 different DXCC entities. Now I have just to be patience and wait for the first response. Alone or with some friends, there will be some movement in few months. Anyway nothing in the top of the list of the most wanted…don’t expect too much from me in 2011.

Wired U.K. is talking about why Amateur Radio is able to survive to the 2.0 Hera . Also Wired Italy said something about hamradio during summer 2009. It is a good trend for a magazine reports on how technology affects culture, the economy, and politics. This article by David Rowan, is interesting and it’s receiving a lot of comments and it was retweeted several times. Read it, strongly recommended.

San Marino is the oldest surviving sovereign state and constitutional republic in the world, and an amazing place to operate a DX station. It is easy to reach San Marino, but it is not the same to operate from there. Thanks to DxCoffee.com, it’s becoming simple as drink a glass of water. DxCoffee and ARRSM are organizing a party in San Marino with all the staff you need to go QRV from there. If you are an enthusiast of the DXFC, you can miss this party! Starting from the 1st of January 2011, there is a new postal rate in Italy. The prices for an envelope of 20 gr. were increased a lot for each postal zones. After 3B9 & 3B8 activities I have several bucks that I’m going to change at the bank next week. If you need some of these banknotes of 1 dollar please contact me using my QRZ.com email address. So, if you need some cash for your QSL direct request, hurry up and write me. Next week I will change them all.

During holiday’s time, I love to have breakfast reading the newspaper. It’s a moment of real relax without a price. I can’t explain why but my coffee seems with a different taste reading something. So, I always bring with me my iPad to take a look into my favorite RSS feeds when the bar doesn’t offer any interesting newspaper.
Few days ago I started to use Flipboard, an app able to show my RSS feeds with the layout of a magazine. The result is pretty good and the user experience is something really enjoyable.

Read the rest of this entry »
